May 11, 2025When I first became a personal trainer, like most men in the fitness industry, I focused on helping people “get shredded” or “build muscle fast.” But over time, I noticed something missing—support for women over 40 who were dealing with hormonal changes, weight gain that didn’t make sense, and a fitness world that wasn’t speaking to their needs. As a man in my 40s experiencing my own shifts in energy, recovery, and metabolism, I began to understand just how drastically things change with age—and how underserved midlife women truly are.
Through years of coaching, one truth kept surfacing: women in perimenopause, menopause, and beyond were being given cookie-cutter advice that didn’t consider their unique hormonal landscape. Many of my clients were doing everything “right”—eating clean, working out, staying consistent—but seeing zero results. I realized they didn’t need more willpower. They needed a plan that worked with their body, not against it.
That’s when I started diving deep into female physiology, hormone cycles, and strength training that actually supports the midlife body. What I found changed everything: when women over 40 train smarter—not harder—they gain strength, improve sleep, reduce belly fat, and feel confident again. And that became my mission. Not to “fix” anyone, but to help women feel powerful and back in control of their health during a stage of life that’s too often ignored.
So yes—I’m a male trainer for women 40+, and I wear that badge with pride. Because this work isn’t just about sets and reps. It’s about giving women the tools, support, and strategy to thrive in a body that’s changing—and reminding them that strength has no age limit.
